The Moulting Northern Cardinal

This fellow has been a visitor to our feeder now for at least a month.....

We are pretty sure it is the same Male who always visits.



He does look rather scraggly,
 but seems healthy in all ways.

Here is a side view of him.
I found this site that discusses moulting.
It seems they can just have naked heads
but as you can see here, this is not the case.
