I Hate Walmart But Sometimes We Need To Go There

The Perfect Kind of Day To Go To Walmart.....but not the perfect time!!!!!

It is just that I like to go closer to 11:00 pm when there is hardly anyone in the store  :-)))
or when it first opens.,,but we got a late start today..since it was Sunday, and we felt NO RUSH to go.

We usually go to Walmart to get our supply of Bird Seed...and some other things....that are staples there and might be at a better price than other stores. I usually don't get any of Our food there. I somehow find it unappetizing to shop at a Department store for Food.

Anyone know which Walmart we are going to? This MacDonalds used to be at the City Limits....years and years ago.

The sky looks ominous, but there was never a really bad storm but it did get quite windy.

Ohhhhh a break in the grey. I hope it does not get too sunny because I would rather be walking...

We are almost there..

I usually don't like anything at Walmart, (I don't even look at the clothes) but this was very different and we needed a new one anyway. I couldn't resist this little purchase...The price was right! I wonder if everyone got one of these.

Welcome To Proven Solutions Inc. Toronto Computer Service Home Office

The trip to Walmart was worth it just for this!

If you want to see how cute his face is...... you would have to look here.

He sees the grass and garden covered in Autumn leaves....

......and he sees this lovely large Maple tree that still has many leaves.

Lets get a closer look at that tree that he sees. The leaves glisten golden in the sun.

Hey A New Bird House In The Area...or is it?

If you have been following these posts for a long time, you might have guessed that we are avid bird watchers. I also love to photograph new bird houses in the area. Let me see if I can find some posts from the past. Here is one. and here is a cool photo of a cottage of bird houses.
I took this photo 3 years ago, but I couldn't link to it properly on this blog so I posted it again.
SEE BELOW

but when you get a close look at the bird house I caught on camera yesterday,,,,..it is teeny tiny dog house. It says Bird Dog.

OOOOOPS I ran out of room on my HARD DRIVE

Well I do shoot many pictures and many videos for pleasure and business. I ran out of room on my computer. (At the time that we bought it, I never thought I would need a bigger hard drive!) I don't want to delete my precious photos and videos so I use an external hard drive and every so often Allan makes room on my laptop by moving my photos off my computer to an external hard drive. It can act as a back up and be used for storage too.

This is an external hard drive that Proven Solutions can provide for you.

I sometimes ask Allan to copy the photos and videos onto DVDs so I have something concrete in my hands that I can hold and touch. It is really another form of back-up of the photos and videos.

Oh Wow, I think I was 3 years ahead of myself with this Holiday Promotion Idea

That is the thing about being the creative assistant.
Sometimes ideas work out really well and other times
they fall flat on their face.
I had just loved the name I had come up with ``Romancing the Computer".
I loved the picture that I had worked on too.
I thought it was so clever.
I wasn`t crazy about the words in the ad.
I didn`t have full rein, but I am going to try it again for this year.
I think the the timing is right !
I am going to start working on this promotion once again for this Holiday Season

Maybe it will work out better this time.

Any Ideas For The Front Garden Annual Flowers Next Year ?

Well I hope to be posting something on this blog every day again. I am back helping in and out of the the office. The office is home-based in case you were wondering.
We have other visitors too that come to the house and stay over sometimes.
Some like to Look out the front window and let us know when someone is passing by.
This is his Look-Out.
This is what he sees from the couch ledge (June 2013)

These were our beautiful impatiens that we planted. They were supposed to spread and make our front yard garden feel like a Monet painting, but instead they actually started to die off, leaving unsightly bare stems. It was such a disappointment. No more impatiens for next year. They have developed a disease called downy mildew and it is pretty much destroying them world wide. It will be a very sad loss if no solution is found to save these lovely flowers. These are my favourite annuals because of their soft and feathery appearance. Nothing can replace them.

Who is this with such a pretty red bushy tail?
It is very rare to see a little red squirrel in our backyard.

What Does Xp End Of Life Really Mean?

Well actually, if you are running Xp as your operating system, it means it might be the right time to move on to a new computer if you have not already done so.
This seriously affects you if  you access the Internet which most people do these days.
Your Xp computer won't be very protected
anymore from hackers and viruses.
It won't get those updates
to keep it functioning properly.
It has become an older operating system,
that can't keep up with the modern age.
Can you believe that?
Doesn't it seem just like yesterday that you started using Xp?
Well it has actually been around for almost 13 years.
WOW time has flown!
It has been a stable and well liked operating system
for businesses and personal users alike
There is talk that perhaps Microsoft might patch
serious Security flaws in Xp...
but no one really knows for sure
Here is a really good link that I found
and it has lots of good info in it with more detail.

I enjoyed using Xp, but actually once I tried Windows 7, I was hooked.
It is so much softer visually and user friendly.
I don't care for the set up of Windows 8 with the touch screen capacity.
You might like it though if you like your touch screen smart phone.
(I still don't do texting or email on my phone. I don't want to be that accessible to anyone)

If you are worried that some of your
Xp compatible programs and hardware
might not work on a newer version of windows,
there might be solutions for you.
Now Allan from Proven Solutions can help you with this too.
He can run a special program for you
to determine if your software and hardware is compatible.

He can set up your new computer for you too.
There is actually lots to do if you want to do it right.
He can help you move (MIGRATE, TRANSFER) your stuff over
to your new computer...to Windows 7 or Windows 8
He can help you decide which operating system is best for you.
You can even ask him to buy it for you.
You just tell him what you want and what you need done, and he can do it for you.
He is really thorough and knows his business well.

Proven Solutions  is a Toronto Computer Service located in North York, Ontario.

We have a great view!

DO YOU BACK UP YOUR SMART PHONE?

I am so smart.
I HAVE EVERYTHING  ALL ON MY PHONE.

ARE YOU REALLY AS SMART AS YOU THINK? ..

To all you people that totally depend on your smart phones for
ALL YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION
and use your phone as your
CALENDAR FOR PERSONAL EVENTS, BIRTHDAYS AND APPOINTMENTS,......
Are you backing up your phone daily?
Have you really thought about what would happen if it fell into the water some how.
I won't say how, but you can use your imagination.
Don't think it can't happen to you, because I have seen it happen so many times before.
What would you do if your phone was lost or destroyed?
Do you actually know your best friend's phone # off by heart?
Do you know your work # off by heart?
Would you remember all those very important appointments
that you have put in your phone all off by heart?
Would you know your best friend's birthday off by heart?
What about all those photos on your phone
that you kept saying to yourself..."later later...I will transfer them to my computer........"
They might be lost forever.
What a mess you would be in!
Do you know how to back up your smart phone to prevent this situation?
Do you know how to sync it with your computer?
Do you want to do it yourself or
do you want to call PROVEN SOLUTIONS Toronto Computer Service?
Allan can help you and show you how to back up and syn your smart phone to your computer so you CAN do it on your own.

(Personally I still like paper best but don't tell Allan)

Look At This...Sparrows in The Bird Bath in The Backyard on Nov 2nd in Toronto, Ontario

Sorry for the blurry video, but look at them  flutter their wings and tread water...
like it is in the middle of summer. It was a cool crisp sunny day.
This is the view from the office window.
There are so many lovely distractions
