It is almost perfect and will be more interesting anyway....

I found this shrub this year at Canadian Tire at the beginning of the season.
It was tagged with a photo of the original Rose of Sharon flower that I fell in love with, but I actually didn't notice that the leaves were variegated at the time of purchase because it was pouring rain and I didn't check it out closely enough.
I just saw the tag with a huge photo of the flower type I wanted so I purchased it.
The flowers are actually slightly smaller than the ones I usually see.
Do you know what they actually call these type of leaves? I do!

Mystery Flower-REVEALED!

Does anyone know what flower this is?
It is so rich and colour and I hear it is a perennial.
I would love to add it to the garden next year
if I only knew it's name.
addendum: It is actually an annual.
The Terminator left the comment of what this flower is,
but only after my friend from California told me the name in an email.
Her Great Grandmother had these in her garden just like these!
 Wow, what nostalgia.
There are a plumed version which I do see around more than this version.

New Addition

I Kind of tapped the old Feeder too much and the plastic cracked.
This is the replacement feeder. It has smarter system .
We were both so impressed we bought another for the sunflower seeds.

I think this sparrow is having an identity crisis
We even witnessed him drinking the nectar from the centre hole.
